CS Matiangi Breaks Silence On His Impeachment Motion, Drugs Ruto To His Woes As He Reveals MPs Names

A good number of MPs have already appended their signatures to back the impeachment motion against CS Matiangi. The motion that was moved by Nyali Member of Parliament Mohammed Ali popularly known as Jicho Pevu noted that the impeachment was anchored on four major accusations that were made against the vocal CS. These allegations included, failure to respect court orders, the misuse of office, disrespecting Members of Parliament and the failure to protect Kenyans as needed by the supreme constitution. Most of the 92 MPs who have signed the motion are allied to DP Ruto.

The names of the lawmakers that were revealed were Alice Wahome of Kandara Constituency, Hon. Didmus Barasa of Kimilili, Aisha Jumwa from Malindi, Gathoni Wamuchomba of Kiambu, Anab Gore from Garissa Comstituency, Gladys Shollei from Uasin Gishu among other legislators. In his statement Mohammed Ali said that Matiangi's time is up and his impeachment signatures are ready. He claimed that they are going to impeachment him for destroying and killing Kenya.

Following the by-elections that happened in May, a section of legislators both from the Tangatanga and the Kieleweke factions seemed to be in unison in impeaching Matiangi. Hon. Raila Odinga had given a strong criticism in using the police force in political affairs. His message appeared that he was targeting the Interior CS following claims by ODM leaders that he was using the State resources to campaign for the Jubilee regime. However, the narrative later changed and some ODM claimed that it was Ruto's team that were seeking to impeach him.
Hon. Babu Owino said that Dr. Fred Matiangi was appointed by Uhuru Kenyatta to carry out his duties that were inherent but the powerful CS came up with made-up issues and he was avoiding Cabinet meetings are some of the issues that they saw the CS should be kicked out. He said that Matiangi should not be defended. Owino said that if was Mohamed Ali who was championing for this and they told him that they will have to build a separate Parliament for him tk take his issues and claims there.

He has been taking a show of ‘Mesetab Taach Fm ’ which is believed to be touching on political and development of the country.
