President William Ruto is under pressure to act after Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s son, Lt. General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, received harsh criticism across East Africa.
Many Kenyans urged president William Ruto to summon Uganda’s ambassador to Kenya, Hassan Wasswa Galiwango, in response to his reckless remarks. On Twitter, Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Uganda’s First Son and Commander of Land Forces, the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), opined that former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta should have run for a third term in Kenya. He slammed Kenya’s democracy and constitution, and he controversially claimed that his army could take Nairobi in two weeks.

Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Museveni’s son and the most likely successor, has promised to invade Kenya and take it in two weeks. He intends to live in either Westlands or Riverside after capturing Kenya.
Muhoozi’s remarks come a year after the successful end of border wars between Uganda and Rwanda, which killed over 500 people, injured thousands, and displaced thousands.
Paul Kagame marked the end of the Rwanda-Uganda conflict by gifting Muhoozi hundreds of Ankole cows as a reward for initiating mediation between Kagame and Museveni, which resulted in reconciliation and peace. Ankole cows are given as a token of respect and friendship.
