Mp Babu Owino opposes circumcision motion, says it is painful.

The legislature was opposing a motion which was brought to the house on 6th December 2022 by Mumias East Mp Peter Salasya.

Mumias East MP Hon Peter Salasya has tabled a bill in parliament to make male circumcision compulsory in Kenya, the MP said it will help a lot in reducing spread of HIV especially in Nyanza.


However, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and other legislators from Nyanza have promised to oppose the Bill claiming that the act of circumcision is painful and it is against human rights.

He has been taking a show of ‘Mesetab Taach Fm ’ which is believed to be touching on political and development of the country. He has been running the show alongside his counterpart senior presenter Kimutai Maritim who has worked with a number of radio stations for many years including KBC Radio Taifa, Chamgei Fm, Congasis Fm, Kitwek Fm among other Kalenjin radio stations.
